Graduation Credit Requirements

A minimum of 43 credits is required for graduation, which must include at least one Corporate Functional Program and one Functional Competency Program. This total does not include the 6 credits for the Master's thesis.

Required Courses Required courses include four English courses: "Business English (I) ~ (IV)" (one offered each semester), Management Seminar, and Research Methods.
Elective Courses Students must complete 6 credits of elective courses offered by the department's Master's program, excluding the courses from their chosen Functional Competency and Corporate Functional Programs.

English Course Waiver Guidelines

(1) Students meeting any of the following criteria are eligible to waive the four required English courses:

  • TOEIC: 850 or above
  • TOEFL: ITP: 550 or above / CBT: 250 or above / iBT: 100 or above (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
  • GEPT: High-Intermediate level (First Stage) or above (General English Proficiency Test)
  • IELTS: 6.0 or above (The International English Language Testing System)
  • FLPT: 240 / S3 or above (Foreign Language Proficiency Test)
  • BULATS: Level 4 or above (Business Language Testing Service)
  • Cambridge Main Suite: Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) or above

(2) Waivers may also be granted based on the specific English course waiver regulations of each individual program.

Note 1: Students must pass and submit the TOEIC 850 score report at least one month before applying for the oral defense. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Note 2: The English proficiency certificate must be within its validity period after enrollment to be recognized for the waiver.

Related Course Guidelines

  • Students must take "Management Seminar (1)" (1 credit, 2 hours) in the first semester of their second year. This course is supported annually by the CEO of the EMBA program and mentors.
  • Students must complete at least 6 hours of academic research ethics education courses (including the "Center for Taiwan Academic Research Ethics Education") before the end of their first semester, in accordance with the "National Chung Cheng University Implementation Guidelines for Graduate Student Academic Ethics Education". Proof of completion is required to apply for the degree examination; those who fail to pass cannot apply.
  • Graduate students must select a thesis advisor no later than June 15 of the year preceding their graduation.
  • Upon completing the program combinations, students may apply for a program certificate. A professional certificate of completion will be awarded after verification by the department office.
