Messages from Our Leadership

A warm welcome from the people who will guide your journey.

Department Chair & Director

Dr. Huang Zheng-kui黃正魁

Dear future students of the NCCU Business Administration graduate program,

Thank you for the opportunity to welcome you into the CCU Business Administration family. On behalf of our community, I sincerely congratulate you on a major decision in your journey of growth: to challenge yourself and pursue further study by applying to our Master of Business Administration (MBA) working-professional program, even amid the demands of a busy career and family life. I am honored to begin this journey — full of challenge and opportunity — alongside you.

Our program is dedicated to cultivating managers with global vision, innovative thinking, and leadership ability. Here you will learn the latest management theory and practice, and take part in diverse hands-on activities and research enrichment. Our varied curriculum includes foundational courses across production, marketing, human resources, and finance to give students from non-business backgrounds a solid grounding, along with innovative, trend-aligned courses that build the capabilities today's fast-changing business environment demands. We emphasize not only theoretical foundations but also practical application and personal growth, so you can flexibly apply what you learn in your own workplace, become more competitive, and advance yourself.

Amid the rapid rise of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, its impact is unmistakable — this year's Nobel Prizes in Physics, Chemistry, and Economics were all connected to AI. AI can make our work faster and more efficient, yet many also worry it may gradually replace their jobs. There is no need to fear. At CCU Business Administration, our courses help you cross disciplinary boundaries, master broad management knowledge, and develop the innovative thinking and logical problem-solving skills to make AI work for you — becoming a manager who thrives in the new human-machine collaboration. As we all know: AI will not replace people, but people who use AI well will replace those who do not.

In this family you will face many challenges and gain limitless opportunities. I sincerely invite you to join us and enjoy this rich feast of knowledge. Our faculty will fully support your learning and research, helping you achieve outstanding success in the study and career development ahead. I look forward to meeting you on the CCU campus and sharing many wonderful weekends of learning together.

With best wishes for peace and joy.

Executive Director

Dr. Zhen Ming-chang鎮明常

On behalf of the CCU Business Administration family, I extend a warm welcome.

Welcome to all who are applying to our MBA working-professional program — ranked among the top ten in the nation. I want to tell you that CCU Business Administration is a wonderful new start for the next chapter of your career. Although CCU sits in a rural setting, it is an excellent place to pursue advanced management knowledge: the spacious campus and complete athletic facilities strengthen your body, while our rich curriculum and diverse environment enrich a colorful graduate experience and help you build a valuable professional network. We place special emphasis on developing "cross-disciplinary talent," and we hope you will make the most of these two years once you join us.

With advances in technology and the effects of the pandemic, we now offer more online courses, moving beyond traditional in-person teaching to make learning more engaging and more flexible in time and location. I have also partnered with Amundi, Europe's largest asset-management company, to invite top management lecturers from academia and industry, both domestic and international, to deliver free advanced management courses and forums that bring cutting-edge knowledge to our working-professional students. We will soon build a recording and live-streaming studio for the department, and we have already established a departmental library where students can read current magazines and popular management books. The department office also runs a free textbook-exchange corner where students can obtain different editions of past textbooks at no cost.

As Executive Director of the MBA working-professional program, I hope to provide even better service to our faculty and students during my term, helping the program grow and flourish. As the year draws to a close, I wish every student good health and success, and I look forward to welcoming you as a member of CCU Business Administration.

Building all-around leadership on the road to excellence, and refining professional management thinking for the workplace.

Do you ever feel your competitive edge isn't enough? Do you want to break free of the ordinary and move toward excellence — to have a team of experts help you keep learning and growing, build your professional management mindset, and sharpen your workplace fighting power?

Or perhaps you have already accumulated years of experience, yet keep solving an ever-growing list of new problems with old methods, and feel stretched thin. Sometimes long-accumulated experience, rather than carrying you toward excellence, becomes a stumbling block in your decisions.

The business environment changes far more than you imagine, and brute-force methods only leave you overwhelmed. I know you truly want to learn, because you urgently need to recharge your professional knowledge to face new challenges. So let me offer you a shortcut to systematically refined thinking, new problem-solving, and innovation: apply to the CCU MBA working-professional program.

The world is always changing, and the only way to keep pace is to broaden your horizons, shift your perspective, integrate diverse skills, think creatively, and decide precisely with a professional eye — continually refining leadership beyond what you thought possible. Our MBA program has a 30-year history, with highly accomplished professors who pass on a complete system of management knowledge to help you create limitless possibilities in your career. I sincerely invite you to apply to our MBA working-professional program.

CCU Business Administration is renowned nationwide for its management expertise. So that you can study with peace of mind while balancing work and study, classes are held on just one day — Saturday — with a hybrid in-person and online format. Each year we host a Super CEO Forum, inviting senior executives from renowned companies — including China Steel, Delta Electronics, TECO, KPMG, Uni-President, Aurora, Lavender Cottage, Global Views Monthly, 3M, TransGlobe Life, and Fitness Factory — to speak and broaden students' networks and horizons. Our overseas field-study courses take students to visit leading companies abroad, and our humanities "beyond-the-classroom" courses help students cultivate a cross-disciplinary, "slash-career" spirit — all the finest tools to nourish your leadership and refine your thinking.

Give yourself a chance, and give CCU Business Administration a chance — you won't regret it. I look forward to meeting you on campus next year.

Welcome to the CCU Business Administration family!

Welcome, everyone, to the CCU Business Administration family. Each of you is a standout in your own professional field — that is how you were selected into our program amid fierce competition.

It is my great honor to serve as your advisor. In the coming terms we will share rich interactions in coursework, in life, and in character. Along life's road you have already gathered experience, achievements, and setbacks. At a crossroads you may find yourself hesitating, or holding a goal you're still unsure of — as Tom Hanks's character reflects on fate in Cast Away: "I don't know why?"

Life's fortunes and misfortunes, its highs and lows, its joys and sorrows, are forever interwoven. If you are still searching for your goal and your happiness, you must understand that success is not something that only arrives in the future — it accumulates from the very moment you decide to act. Your path is walked with your own two feet, and your history is written by your own hand. The CCU MBA working-professional program holds the answers you are looking for.

Our department's professors span every specialty of the College of Management, and each is a master of Taiwan's academic world. Having entered a mountain of treasure, do not leave empty-handed — seek their counsel often, and you will gain not only professional knowledge but also life wisdom from these masters. With Chair Dr. Huang Zheng-kui strongly supporting improvements to the program's learning environment and facilities, Executive Director Dr. Zhen Ming-chang and Advisor Dr. Zheng Xiang-lin innovating the curriculum and tools, and the accumulated achievements of past chairs and directors, we can offer you the finest learning environment we have ever provided. From this moment, returning to study will find you more mature, more energized, and more eager than before. As Einstein said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Go for it — bravely embrace your unknown journey!
